Please join NH APTA and NH PT and PTA students for a discussion of advocacy at the Federal, State and local level. Dinner will be served and certificates will be available for 1 hour of Continuing Education Non-Clinical Credit. At the end of the discussion, participants will be able to:
- · Identify legislation within US Congress and in NH Legislature that has the ability to impact the profession of physical therapy and the patients you serve
- · Utilize advocacy techniques learned when meeting with members of Congress and their staff in the future
- · Effectively explain what the PT-PAC is and the NH APTA PAC is and what purpose each serves in our advocacy endeavors
- · Utilize the APTA Action App
- · Identify additional opportunities for PT advocacy with patients and other professionals
