2010 Annual Membership Meeting - Oct. 28 More details
At this meeting, nominations will be taken from the floor. The slate will close at Annual Meeting. Electronic elections will begin following the Annual Meeting. Slate of Candidates - will be presented at Annual Meeting
NHAPTA MEMBERS: Open Positions for 2011. These positions include members to the Board of Directors, Delegate, Secretary, Treasurer, and Nominating Committee. Consent to Serve Form Board of Director (3 openings): The Directors represent the interests of the Chapter and will perform duties at the request or direction of the Board of Directors/Executive Committee. These duties include: Carry out mandates and polices of the Chapter; Authority to perform actions and to transact all business for the Chapter as indicated within the Bylaws; Direct the activities of the special committees (excluding the Nominating Committee); Communicate information from the Association to the membership; Conduct annual reports upon request of the Board of Director of the Association; Provide action in matters relating to ethics and discipline; Maintain the integrity of the Chapter and fulfilling all requirements as set for in the Bylaws relating to component Chapters. The Board of Director is elected to a two year term.
Delegate (1 opening): The delegate participates in the House of Delegates. The House of Delegates is the highest decision-making body of the APTA. The House of Delegates make decisions on issues that frequently have far reaching implications for the APTA and our profession. The Delegate is elected to a two year term.
Secretary (1 opening): Purpose is to be the secretary at all Chapter and Board of Directors/Executive Committee meetings. The Secretary will send out proper notices of all meeting, maintain an accurate membership file, and perform other duties as directed by the Board of Directors/Executive Committee. The Secretary is elected for a two year term.
Treasurer (1 opening): This is a position on the Executive Committee. The purpose of the Treasurer is to be a custodian of the Chapter funds that operate the business of the Chapter. The funds of the Chapter may be paid out by the Treasurer, President or Executive Director upon approval from the Board of Directors/Executive Committee. The Treasurer is responsible for keeping accurate records of receipts and disbursements through the Chapter ledger. The Treasurer will also serve as a member of the finance committee and will present a written report to the Chapter upon request at the annual meeting and/or Board of Directors/Executive Committee. The Treasurer is elected for a two year term.
Nominating Committee (1 opening): The Nominating Committee member will work with the other committee members to prepare a slate of candidates for each annual election. The Nominating Committee works with the Board of Directors/Executive Committee to address any vacancies and perform other duties upon request of the Board of Directors. Members are elected to a three year term.
