This course will discuss Northeast Passage and the different programs run by a staff of Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialists (CTRS).  Class will learn about different adaptive sports provided by Northeast Passage—how they are used to provide therapeutic outcomes, the specific equipment involved in each activity, and how a CTRS may work with other therapists during these programs.  

Presenter: 

Amanda Zedon, B.S., CTRS/L, is a Program Specialist in the Recreational Sports program at Northeast Passage (NEP).  She graduated from UNH in 2014 with a B.S. in Recreation Management & Policy: Therapeutic Recreation.  Amanda specializes in adaptive sports, program development and group facilitation.  Amanda works with other programs seeking the expertise of NEP to plan and implement activity specific events for said program’s clients/participants.  She helps to plan and implement Recreational Sports including: archery, cycling, golf, hiking, kayaking, Nordic skiing, and water skiing.
